The Day Before Hip hop

Class Description: In this lecture taught by Dr. Rennie Harris, participants will study the political, economic and social environments that birthed Hip-hop culture. They will identify Street Dance pioneers and innovators, terminology, codification and discuss various Street Dance Styles.  Dr. Harris will address the era he refers to as “The Day Before Hip-hop," and address street dance nationally and & beyond.
