The lecture series, "The Undercommons of Hip Hop and Street Dance Culture," aims to demystify and highlight the importance, influence, and impact of Hip Hop and Street Dance Culture in America and worldwide. Our instructors decolonize the conversation by bringing Hip Hop and Street Dance to the forefront and shedding light on how society continues to marginalize these cultures. 

Through this series, students have the opportunity to engage with the history, pedagogy, theory, and innovation of the evolving culture. We believe it is essential to place Hip Hop and Street Dance at the center of the conversation and provide a platform for these cultures to be celebrated and appreciated. Our lectures aim to break down barriers and promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of these vital cultural movements.​
